Meet Our Teaching Staff

Hi, my name is Fle! I began working at Especially for Children in 1987. I started as an infant room teacher, became an assistant director in 2001 and then co-director in 2003.

Hi, my name is Roxie! I graduated from UW-Stout with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies. I began working at EFC in 2003, at our Eden Prairie location, as the infant teacher. In 2008, I accepted the director position here at Inver Grove Heights. I knew from a young age that I would be working with young children. It has always been a passion of mine. Watching them learn new skills and achieve their goals is very rewarding. I also enjoy spending time with my family, friends and going to the cabin.

Hello, my name is Kristine. I have a degree in both elementary and special education from St. Cloud State. I have worked in all areas of early childhood since 2000. I love to meet new families and watch the children grow and learn. My husband and I have two children and a dog. When I’m not working, I enjoy reading, crocheting, and playing in the kitchen.

They are so cute and silly, and it is fun watching them learn and grow. When I am not at work, I enjoy watching Netflix, shopping and spending time with family and friends.

Hi, my name is Aspen and I have worked at Especially for Children since 2012! Before working for EFC, I attended Inver Hills Community College and got my Child Care Teacher Certificate. During college, I worked with elementary aged children. Coming from a big family, I have a lot of nieces and nephews that I watch all of the time. Working in the infant room is such a job. It is exciting to watch the babies learn and grow.

Hello, my name is Maira! I love working with babies and young children, so I decided to study and get my CDA.
