Welcome to Especially for Children Inver Grove Heights. While here your child will experience care from our nurturing and dedicated teaching staff. We strive to promote growth and development through the Creative Curriculum, encouraging children to explore and discover in a safe and caring play-based learning environment. Kristine
Hello, my name is Kristine. I have a degree in both elementary and special education from St. Cloud State. I have worked in all areas of early childhood since 2000. I love to meet new families and watch the children grow and learn. My husband and I have two children and a dog. When I’m not working, I enjoy reading, crocheting, and playing in the kitchen.
Alison
Hi, my name is Alison. I have had the pleasure of working with children since 2002. I graduated from Rasmussen with a degree in Early Childhood Development. Being in early childhood is definitely my passion. I love to see the individual progress each child makes over the years and that each day brings on unexpected learning experiences! I live in Inver Grove Heights with my wonderful family. When I am not in the office, you can find me shopping, cuddled up on the couch drinking tea while watching Lifetime movies, and spending time with my family.
Maira
Hello, my name is Maira! I love working with babies and young children, so I decided to study and get my CDA. I have six years experience working with young children and every day that passes, I like my job more. Right now, I am very excited to work with babies and contribute to their growth. Most importantly, I love providing the best care and lots of love!
Kerri
My name is Kerri and I am one of the older infant teachers. I have a Bachelors of Science degree in Kinesiology and a minor in coaching from the University of Northwestern St. Paul. I also have over 10 years of experience working with children of all age groups, but I have found my passion is working with infants. I love their curiosity and energy and how they absorb everything around them. It is such a privilege to watch them grow and learn, and to know that I was a part of that. When I am not teaching, I am spending time with my husband Eli, our two boys Logan and Liam, and our kittens.

My name is Haley. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Development from Concordia St. Paul in 2022. I’ve been working with children off and on since 2018. On my days off I like to read, make crafts, or hang out with my friends and family.
Kristin
My name is Kristin and I am married and have two children. I have worked with children since 2008. I have a A.A.S. degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from The College of St. Catherine and a B.S. in psychology from North Western University. This is my first time as an infant teacher and I love seeing the daily changes as the babies grow and develop. During my time off I enjoy baking, cooking, scrapbooking, reading and spending time with my family.

Hello! My name is Menahal, but I go by Menah and I am absolutely honored to be your infant teacher. I am currently working on getting my CDA. I went to Simley High School in Inver Grove Heights and always wanted to teach young children. I know we will have a wonderful time ahead of us full of learning, laughter, and growth. I am very passionate about art and will do my best to make every day fun! I am excited to be part of Especially for Children and to meet each and every one of you!

Hello, my name is Kasey, and children have always been my passion. I started at EFC in 2021. I am an aunt to 5 kids and they are my everything. I am the “fun” aunt, as they say! There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t see or talk to them. In my free time I usually like to be outside, whether it be ice fishing or hiking, and I absolutely love to go camping with my family. I’m always hanging out with my two sisters and all my cousins on weekends.

Hi, my name is Carmen! I have a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and have over five years experience working with young children. My education has allowed me to learn more about this age group. It makes me very happy working with toddlers because every day I continue to learn new things. I am so lucky!
Lizeth
I have been working with children since 2017. I graduated from Simley Senior High School June of 2018. When I am not in the classroom I enjoy spending time with family and friends, paddle boarding and fishing.

Hi! My name is Abbie. I started with EFC in 2021 in the infant program and have a CDA. My favorite part or working with infants is getting to spend time rocking and talking with them. When not at work I enjoy hanging out with my family and cooking.

Hi! My name is Jade and I have been with EFC since 2021. I graduated from South St. Paul High School and I’m currently in school at Metro State University, where I’m hoping to graduate with an Early Childhood Education degree. My favorite things to do outside of work is spend time with my nephew, go up north to my cabin and travel.

Hello, I’m Bre. I have been in childcare since 2021. I love to spend time with my family and friends. I enjoy working with toddlers and my co-workers at EFC.
Josselyn
Hello! My name is Josselyn! I have been at EC since November 2022. I graduated from Henry Sibley High School and am currently attending Inver Hills Community College. My favorite activities to do outside of the classroom are spending time with friends and family, watching movies, and painting!

Hello, my name is Jessica (Jes). I’ve worked in child care since 2020. My hobbies are: walking my dog, going for walks, playing volleyball, and going to the cabin!

Hi, my name is Dan. I joined EFC in 2021 and enjoy working will all ages. I am also a varsity lacrosse coach at Park high school. I enjoy spending time with my family and listing to music when I’m not working with children. I am currently working on my BS in elementary education.

Hi, my name is Stefanie. I just moved to MN from California and, in 2019 and married Roy, a state fire marshal. I have an adult daughter named Caroline. I have been working with children for 32 years, OPC for 17 years and Head Start for 14 years. I now happily work with EFC, and I think MN is beautiful.

Hi, my name is Laura and I am the 4 year old teacher. I have a CDA in early childhood and began working at EFC in 1994. I have worked in the field for over 30 years. I enjoy working in the 3/4 year-old preschool class because they are always ready to learn new and exciting things each day!

Hi, my name is Tina. I have been working in childcare for over 30 years. I have a CDA and I am also the Food Service Manager on site. I take great pride in working for EFC and began working here in 2004. I am excited about working with the oldest preschool children because they have so much to learn and explore and create. When they leave my room they are ready for Kindergarten!

Hi, my name is Jennifer. I have been working with EFC since September of 2022 and it has been such a fun experience. I graduated from Henry Sibley High School and currently in school. I attend Augsburg University where I hope to graduate with a degree in child psychology. Outside of work I love spending time with my family and friends and exploring new things.
