Hello, my name is Kristine. I have a degree in both elementary and special education from St. Cloud State. I have worked in all areas of early childhood since 2000. I love to meet new families and watch the children grow and learn. My husband and I have two children and a dog. When I’m not working, I enjoy reading, crocheting, and playing in the kitchen.
Hi! My name is Sarah and I have been working with EFC since 2015. I am the teacher in the baby room. I attended St. Catherine University and finished my undergraduate degree with a double major in Psychology and Philosophy. I live in Eden Prairie with my spouse and our two dogs. When I have spare time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I like to bowl and play softball. My all-time favorite thing to do is bake.
Hello, my name is Maira! I love working with babies and young children, so I decided to study and get my CDA. I have six years experience working with young children and every day that passes, I like my job more. Right now, I am very excited to work with babies and contribute to their growth. Most importantly, I love providing the best care and lots of love!
Hi, my name is Kailey. I started with EFC in September 2019. I love working with children. I have a bachelor’s degree in individualized studies and a minor in child advocacy studies. I graduated from Winona State. I also have two kids of my own. I have worked in childcare since December 2018. In my spare time I love spending time with my family or reading a good book.
Hi, my name is Ling. I have worked with children since January 2021. I have an Associate Degree from China–prior to immigrating to the United States, I was an international travel guide for a large corporation. Today I am currently enrolled in the YWCA Minneapolis Teacher Development Program and plan to have my Child Development Associate (CDA) credential in the summer of 2021! I love children and like to work with them. I am excited to be a teacher because I know I can be a positive influence on young children’s development. Outside of work, I love to travel and have been to 10 countries. I love many different sports and recently I have learned to play golf!
My name is Kerri and I am one of the older infant teachers. I have a Bachelors of Science degree in Kinesiology and a minor in coaching from the University of Northwestern St. Paul. I also have over 10 years of experience working with children of all age groups, but I have found my passion is working with infants. I love their curiosity and energy and how they absorb everything around them. It is such a privilege to watch them grow and learn, and to know that I was a part of that. When I am not teaching, I am spending time with my husband Eli, our two boys Logan and Liam, and our kittens.
I have been working with children since 2017. I graduated from Simley Senior High School June of 2018. When I am not in the classroom I enjoy spending time with family and friends, paddle boarding and fishing.
Hi, my name is Carmen! I have a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and have over five years experience working with young children. My education has allowed me to learn more about this age group. It makes me very happy working with toddlers because every day I continue to learn new things. I am so lucky!
Hi, my name is Anna. I started working at EFC in 2020. I love working with toddlers. I will be graduating with my associates degree in Early Childhood Education in the summer of 2021. My favorite things to do outside of work are travel with my husband and spend time with family and friends.
Hi, my name is Alison. I have had the pleasure of working with children since 2002. I graduated from Rasmussen with a degree in Early Childhood Development. Being a teacher is definitely my passion. I love to see the individual progress each child makes over the years and that each day brings on unexpected learning experiences! I live in Inver Grove Heights with my wonderful family. When I am not teaching, you can find me shopping, cuddled up on the couch drinking tea while watching Lifetime movies, and spending time with my family.
Hi, my name is Stefanie. I just moved to MN from California and, in 2019 and married Roy, a state fire marshal. I have an adult daughter named Caroline. I have been working with children for 32 years, OPC for 17 years and Head Start for 14 years. I now happily work with EFC, and I think MN is beautiful.
Hi, my name is Laura and I am the 4 year old teacher. I have a CDA in early child hood and began working at EFC 20 years ago. I have worked in the field for 23 years. I like the 4 year old preschool class because they are always ready to learn new and exciting things each day!
Hi, my name is Tina. I have been working in child care for 28 years. I have a CDA and I am also the Food Service Manager on site. I take great pride in working for EFC and began working here in 2004. I am excited about working with the youngest preschool children because everything is new to them. We learn potty training, painting, cutting, letter writing and much, much more. When they leave my room they are capable of most of these tasks!
I have been so satisfied with the care my girls have gotten at Especially for Children. Both of my daughters attend; one of them has attended for about two years. She loves it, and would love to show you around her school if you give her a chance. A nutritious breakfast, lunch and snack will be provided to you. Maybe you’ll be lucky and be in one of the groups that does Cooking Class! You will have caring teachers and staff who love what they do and stay to do it every day because of their passion for making sure you are happy, healthy and learning. You will have tons of fun in the winter in the back yard with the snow. You’ll have fun on Sprinkler Days in the summer. You will be challenged. You will have plenty of art projects to give to Mom or Dad to view while they work. You will be blessed with a flexible structure. Your mom and dad will have the ability to see on your Monthly Calendar what you are doing each day and what the theme of the week is. My daughter and I love this, too. From bringing a stuffed animal to school day, to computer class, to Spanish and Sign Language class, you will be learning all kinds of things you can teach your parents! Trips to the apple orchard, pumpkin patch, Nature Preserve, bowling alley and Hilltop Elementary will fill your summer and fall. You will be safe on the transportation provided and will have a blast! You’ll love it here!
Our daughter has been going to Especially for Children since she was 12 weeks old. She is now three. It is such an important decision to leave your child in the hands of another person. But, from the first time that we left our daughter in the caring hands of Jeannie, we knew that everything was going to be alright. Since then she has been cared for by many of the wonderful teachers at EFC. We have been happy with the communication and support that we receive from the teachers and directors. We really like the monthly newsletter and events calendar. We have found EFC to have a nice balance of child care along with an educational curriculum that is top-notch. Our daughter is learning new things each day in a safe, clean and friendly environment. We like to refer to it as her “going off to school” as opposed to just “going to daycare.” Our daughter recently started going on field trips and we are confident that she is in very capable hands when leaving the center. One of the unique things that we have found at EFC is the continuity and longevity of its teachers, which we feel translates to the security, trust and familiarity that our daughter feels there. Several of our friends have commented to us that there is a lot of turnover at other centers. This can be difficult for some children to adjust to and we are grateful that this has not been an issue for our family. We would highly recommend Especially for Children, Inver Grove Heights to any parent making this very important decision for their family.
