EFC is a Best of Edina 2021 Finalist!
Welcome to Especially for Children’s Edina/Edinborough Child Development Center, located in Edina. Our center has been serving families since 1987, making us the second longest running EFC! We serve infants through kindergarten children in a caring and nurturing environment. Our center neighbors the unique Edinborough complex, which features a completely enclosed indoor Adventure Peak, Great Hall and theater, and are all used frequently by our children. In addition, the surrounding Centennial Lakes area provides chances for leisurely walks with our infants, older preschoolers, and kindergarten children.
At EFC, daily activities such as group time, music, art and storytelling makes every school day fun! Find out more about our curriculum here. Our center also offers special classes, frequent in-house guests and field trips in the community. Parent involvement is also important, and every year we host several popular events for our families where you can connect with teachers and one another. We invite you to visit our unique school to see if it is the right place for your family!

EFC has been a huge gift to my family, and I have complete confidence in the teachers. I send my children to school every day, not day care. I love knowing that when I pick them up at the end of the day they have learned so much developmentally and socially, and I hear all about their adventures during their busy day. I praise the staff all the time; they are extremely knowledgeable, caring, and loving teachers. EFC is truly the only place I feel happy leaving my children.
Our daughters attend the Edinborough center and LOVE it! Our oldest daughter has been attending for two years and our 9-month old just recently started to attend and we couldn’t be happier with the teachers and the curriculum. The teachers and staff genuinely care about the children and this radiates in their interactions. Both girls have learned so much since being there. We especially love that there are extra-curricular classes that our oldest daughter can take while she is there during the day.
My daughter has been very well served at EFC – the curriculum is stimulating, challenging and allows her to express herself creatively. The staff is responsive and has a great understanding of all the children and their individual needs. It is a supportive environment that has allowed my daughter to blossom!
