29 Apr Gardening with Children
“Gardening with children is like most sensory experiences with three and four year-olds. It’s messy, it’s chaotic, and the more children you add to the scenario, the more instruction goes out the window and you just hope something is getting through. The amazing thing is that something always does.”
– Gardening with Children, Catherine Koons-Hubbard, Community Playthings
As part of our summer program, The Great Outdoors, children at Especially for Children will interact with and learn about plants. They will taste test new vegetables and learn how they grow.
If you are a gardener at home, let your child explore the process with you. Check out some fun ideas around gardening with children here.
